Setting up and publishing your booking website

How to set up your salon's booking website in StyleDesk: choose a design, add your logo, photos and story, check services and branches, then publish.

Your booking website is a public page for your salon: photos, menu and prices, branches and hours, and a way for clients to book themselves. You set it up once on the Website page; most of it then stays up to date from the rest of StyleDesk.

Before you start

The booking website is an add-on. It is not part of any plan; StyleDesk switches it on for your salon. Once it is on, Website appears in the sidebar under Business. By default only owners can see and change it.

Your web address

The top of the page shows whether the site is Published & live or Not published, and your Public website address. The last part of the address is your Salon slug, generated automatically from your salon name. Use Copy URL to paste it into your Instagram bio or WhatsApp status.

Until you publish, the address shows a page-not-found to everyone, you included; the previews under How it looks give you an idea in the meantime.

1. Choose a design

Under Website design there are four designs with the same booking features: Editorial Luxury, Modern Minimal (no hero photo), Glamour and Warm Boutique. Click Use This Design. Switching later only changes the look; your address, services, prices, branches and hours stay as they are.

2. Add your content

Under Website content, each area has an Edit button.

  • Branding. Your logo, the same one as on your receipts, so changing it here changes it everywhere. JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 2 MB, at least 200 × 200 px. Without one, the site shows the first letter of your salon name.
  • Hero. A Tagline of up to 160 characters, and up to five hero images (JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 5 MB, at least 1200 × 800 px; 2400 × 1600 px looks best). With more than one image the hero becomes a slideshow; use the arrows to set the order.
  • About. A Heading and Your story. Blank lines become paragraphs. Leave both empty and the section does not appear.
  • Social links. Full addresses for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Only the ones you fill in are shown.
  • Featured services. Up to six services for your home page. Tick none and the first six on your menu are shown.

3. Check what comes from StyleDesk

Under From your ERP, three things appear automatically, each with a Manage button:

  • Locations & hours: your active branches and their opening hours. A warning shows if a branch has no hours; online booking needs them. See branches and hours.
  • Service menu: names, prices, durations, descriptions and photos of your active services. See adding services.
  • Contact details: phone, WhatsApp and email from your business settings. See your business profile.

The services page lists your whole active menu. Online booking is stricter: a service is offered there only at branches ticked under its Available Branches, and only if someone at that branch does it. A service with no branch ticked appears on the menu but cannot be booked online. See services and branches.

4. Publish

Click Publish website. The status changes to Published & live, with the date it was last published, and View Website opens it. Unpublish takes the whole site offline again, booking included.

The buttons your clients see

The main button depends on your contact details: Call Us with a phone number, WhatsApp with only a WhatsApp number, Book Online with neither. With just one of the two, the second button is Book Online. With both, the buttons are Call Us and WhatsApp, and clients reach online booking at your address with book/ added to the end.

Download site gives you a static copy of the site as a ZIP file to host elsewhere; online booking does not work in that copy.

Tip. Online booking signs clients in with a code sent by text message, so make sure your salon can send SMS before you publish; see setting up SMS. Then make one booking yourself on your phone and cancel it from the calendar.
